DESIGN AND ITS PUBLICS: CURATORS, CRITICS AND HISTORIANS
April 27-28, 2007
A two-day symposium featuring architectural critics and historians, curators and museum directors, will examine the significance of Minneapolis' new public architecture within the larger sphere of a global architectural culture and the role of critical writing and mass media in shaping this culture. It will also explore how public perception of design and architecture is shaped through curatorial and acquisitions strategies, exhibit designs, and museum education programs. The event is co-organized by The Department of Art History and the College of Design.
